I grew up in a family who owned Superior Builders. I started on the job as a teenager and matured with the business. In my early twenties, I became job foreman and was responsible for managing other employees, work layout and bidding of new work.
In working with Superior Builders (our family business), I learned all types of foundation work, stone veneers, custom framing, roofing, sidings including log, wiring, drywall, painting and all types of custom cabinetry. I also learned finish work of many different styles. My specialty is finish work.
My philosophy is that quality framing and the small details makes for a smooth and efficient project and happy clients. By age 32 I decided to leave Superior Builders and went to work in the local 646 Carpenters Union. I worked there two years building both the Tomahawk and Rhinelander Hospitals. There I worked as a steel stud framer. Soon my skillset was noticed by the job superintendent and I was put in charge of building rounded walls and soffits as well as cabinetry. I went completely on my own at age 34. I worked as a finishing specialist and finished well over 100 homes myself. This includes custom patterns with tongue and groove paneling, solid all wood stair cases including log railings, to the latest in cabinetry.
Being that I have been in so many different homes I am very skilled at developing ideas that compliment your needs.
